Clay Aiken's On My Way Here Used in Olympics!!!

As reported on Chexxxy's Pearls

Clay Aiken's song On My Way Here has been used often by Korean Television. The most recent is the following clip from the Olympic Medal award ceremony honoring the Gold Medal win of Korean swimmer Park Tae-Hwan in the 400m freestyle.

As a third degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, I have had the pleasure of working closely with people from Korea and actually got to visit this wonderful country in 2005.

I can understand why the Korean people are drawn to both this song and to Clay - they are kindred spirits. The Korean people are caring, humble and generous. Seoul is a city of over 10,000,000 people. Although it is one of the largest cities in the world, it emanates an aura of quiet civility.

Closing thought

“If each man or woman could understand that every other human life is as full of sorrows, or joys, or base temptations, of heartaches and of remorse as his own . . . how much kinder, how much gentler he would be.” ~ William Allen White

This is so awesome!! Was the song played here on American TV? Or only on Korean? I had seen the race, but missed the medal ceremony. So, did I miss the song, by not watching it? But, it is still great that the song was used. Now, if only, they would used it during a ceremony that broadcasts on USA.. and then people say.. "who is that?" We have to get that song!
