Clay Aiken Hits the Great White Way - Part Deux

Only Clay Aiken could make me risk blogging from work!!! Just released from Playbill!!!

From Playbill:

Brace yourselves, Claymates! The wig masters at the Shubert are fluffing those glorious red tresses in preparation for Clay Aiken’s sure-to-be-triumphant return as Sir Robin on September 19. And it's a good thing too, as the crooner has quipped that life post-SPAMALOT has been seemingly devoid of meaning. Tasteless food and hue-free grass. Have no fear, Clay. Only a few more weeks until the skies turn blue again

PLAYBILL

and if that isn’t enough to get the heart pumping,

Clay Aiken, Chris Brown, and Pam Anderson will be the first three celebrities featured on LALATE 2, the highly anticipated new celebrity expansion of LALATE NEWS. Aiken, Brown, and Anderson will be the first of countless celebrities to be added progressively to LALATE 2 after it launches this September.

I couldn't get there to see Clay Aiken as Sir Robin in his earlier run and was really bummed. The buzz was great, the reviews were great, I love the play, and I couldn't get there to see what I thought. Well, I am making plans for this time because sometimes you do get that second chance - YAY!

Nice Playbill article! Broadway has been very good to Clay. Here's hoping that there will be future Broadway roles for Clay Aiken after this second run as Sir Robin in Spamalot.

Clay Aiken and Sir Robin go together like scrambled eggs and ham.

And I can't wait to go back to Spam!

Bad poet I know, but I'm just so happy that he's going to be in Spamalot again. I'm going opening week-end and am SO exicted!!!

Can you imagine the money Broadway Cares would make if they auction those red tress wigs the next time around? I would pay big bucks for his cerebral sweat.

(I'm sick, I know)

Thank you for this good news about Clay Aiken! I love the positive promotion that Broadway give to Clay. I wish RCA would take some advice from the pros at Broadway.
